Mitra Wedding Makeup Trial

Here are just a few quick photos from Yardley Mitra's wedding makeup trial that she did with two of her bridesmaids (who are also her sisters-in-law-to-be). The flash on the camera that I used wasn't great, so it really does not do their makeup justice. They looked completely made over and stunning in person. I forgot to take a before photo though, so I'm sorry! But here, enjoy.
Some goodies that I prepared for the ladies. Cookies and a nice soothing chamomile tea with herbal infusions ;) Break out the china!
I adore the sunkissed glow that they are all wearing - that dewy youthful look, especially on the cheeks and lips. It really brings their face to life.
I had to correct X's complexion a couple of shades lighter to match her neck and the rest of her body. I think we achieved success ;) She now has a fresh and clean look, with a sunkissed glow. And attention must be paid to her eyes ;)
I look so plain Jane next to these ladies!

Blixz Nail Foils

I was buying makeup from MAC and benefit last week, and the MUA/SA helping me out had some pretty cool finger nails happening. I didn't realise until today what they actually were. Check these out these nail foils by Blixz (I'll be seeing them at the International Beauty Expo this September), I've fallen in love with this new nail art. I'm sure it will be a big craze and have crazy hype over them soon, if it already doesn't. It gives a whole new meaning to going out to get a mani and a pedi ;) Time to visit the Gowings Building in Sydney to find these precious gems!

Bobbi Brown BBU Limited Edition Palette

No, not the Grammy Award-winning American R&B singer-songwriter and dancer, who's career went down the drain... but Bobbi Brown the makeup artist. I love this Bobbi Brown BBU Limited Edition Palette. Breathe. It is any makeup lover's dream, and every makeup artist's Holy Grail. It has an extensive skin tone range to suit most, if not all faces. I'm a happy camper :)

Definitely for the pros! This limited-edition palette was inspired by the hand-filled palettes used by Bobbi and top artists at photo shoots and fashion shows. The BBU Palette includes filled pans of every Bobbi Brown shade of Corrector, Creamy Concealer, and Foundation Stick. This sleek, easy-to-use palette also features an empty well for mixing shades.

Pretty In Ink

Hannah Holman with the gorgeous eye make up, you may not be inked, but the fellow behind you surely is. I adore this photograph, there's just something about it. Is it the contrast of inked skin and clean skin? Is it the youthful glow? I don't know what it really is, but it's simple in composition, and the ink makes it somewhat complex. Did you enjoy this shoot? Looks like a fun time.
